The Lineage of Healers
This Modality has emerged out of the hands and hearts of the traditional Mayan healers of Belize, Guatemala, and South-Eastern Mexico. The lineage of teachers flows like this: Don Jeronimo Requina who instructed Don Elijio Panti (both of Belize) who instructed Rosita Arvigo who instructed myself, Heather Warner—and many others from the West.
Here is Don Elijio sitting on his chair and together with Rosita, laughing together.
Ms. Hortense Robinson, smiling here below was born on the Mexican island of Cozumel, found her own unique way to the practice as well.
The Story Continues
Mayan Abdominal Massage's application is intimately linked with the flowing processes of pregnancy, menstruation, digestion, and hormonal balance. It is also often complimented by the use of indigenous herbs. The Mayan peoples saw clearly how this tender, vulnerable part of our bodies needs gentle, enjoyable, hands-on care for the whole human being to flourish.

Words from clients
"Heather has been a godsend!"
After being diagnosed with uterine prolapse with bladder and rectal involvement, my OBGYN referred me to physical therapy and a pessary ring as a first step. If that didn't work, surgeries. I started with PT and after 1 1/2 months my symptoms and pain were becoming much worse. I felt like I was careening toward surgery. I knew there had to be another way. I started searching for alternatives to surgery. I found a little information on Arvigo Therapy and dove down the rabbit hole and I found Heather, so kind and nurturing. Giving me the knowledge and the power to help myself manage my symptoms and ease my discomforts. Learning this self care has helped me immensely. I have had three sessions with Heather so far. It's a 6 hour round trip for me to see Heather, but what she has taught me is invaluable.

MashIt"Heather is a true healer."
She is knowledgeable and authentic, offering gentle but firm touch and sound wisdom. She has helped me to heal my body with massage and other Mayan healing modalities. Her presence is kind, understanding and supportive. I highly recommend booking a session with her on your healing journey.
Jill Loftis
FabuFit"Much more than an experienced massage therapist."
Heather is a healer and she is a wisdom teacher. Her depth of knowledge and innate wisdom consistently shared through loving touch informs not only my body, but my mind and deeply touches my Spirit. Through her presence I am able to connect more deeply to that quite intuitive space that directly aligns with health and wholeness. There is a level of safety working with Heather that allows me to drop into my womb and enter into areas I have longed to heal. With her guidance and the ancient systems she taps into we are able to address imbalance and restriction and bring in a sense of harmony. I love that Heather is always teaching in our sessions. I learn practices I can then go home and implement for my own self healing.
